Arthritis Action Now

On April 8, 2026 twenty one national arthritis organizations, including patient groups launched Arthritis Action Now. This effort was the result of three years of incredible hard work, building on collaborations in the arthritis community for over twenty years. The comprehensive report details the inequities arthritis patients face across the country with no jurisdiction doing well in treating a disease that is the leading cause of disability with fifty percent affected under the age of sixty-five, including children. Despite these sobering statistics, arthritis only receives two percent of Canadas research funding Arthritis Action Now provides governments with a road map for improving the lives of the six million Canadians living with arthritis.
