PARLIAMENTARY FRIENDS OF PAIN MANAGEMENT
This group will provide a non-partisan forum for parliamentarians to meet and interact with stakeholder groups, such as Poinaustralia.
3.7 million Australians live with chronic pain, often experiencing a loss of functionality that impacts their ability to undertake even the simplest of daily tasks. The establishment of a Parliamentary Friends of Pain Management group intends to provide the bipartisan leadership needed to raise awareness for the better management of pain conditions; explore opportunities to work with Painaustralia to improve quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain conditions, their families and their carers; and minimise the social and economic burden of pain on individuals and the community.
